Meet The Maker

Hi everyone!  I'm Brianna, the one person show of BLH Stitches!  I wanted to have a space where everyone can come to see a little more about me (if you're interested, of course)!

First, a little about the shop!  I started BLH Stitches in September 2017 because I love to make things and I've always wanted to run a shop.  One of my first acts as a business owner was selling my "Lone Star Over Texas" cozy.  My hometown and most of the area surrounding my home town were completely flooded by Hurricane Harvey, so I listed those cozies as a way to raise money for rescue and recovery efforts in Southeast Texas and the shop grew from there. Since then, I have met so many amazing people in the small shop community and gained so many enthusiastic customers!

With this relaunch of my website in September 2019, I'll gradually be expanding my product list to more than just cup cozies!  You can expect different types of cozies (aside from cafe cup sleeves with embroidered patches), earrings, beanies, mug rugs, badge reels, baby items and other accessories or wearables!  I'm super excited about the future of the shop and I hope you are too!

Now a little about ME - if you're still reading along!

I’m from a very small Texas town – Vidor, TX for those geographically gifted. There wasn’t much there, but living about eleven miles east of Beaumont and eighty miles from Houston – we weren’t far from the bigger, bustling cities of Southeast Texas.

My grade school years were spent being a competitive gymnast, band nerd and state ranked powerlifter.  I had a short stent in college with collegiate cheerleading, ultimately overshadowed by joining Alpha Delta Pi sorority with a great group of sisters.

I’ve spent the last 11 years being a nurse. I’ve loved it, I’ve hated it, I’ve tolerated it and now I’ve decided to move forward. Nursing may always be a part of my life (as in PRN part of my life, because… well… money), but what I really crave is to build my own legacy in web development.

#bossbabe as all the cool kids are saying these days.

Last bits of Bri:

  • I am on my journey to become a web developer
  • I love the color blue (all shades included)
  • I could drink my weight in mimosas, anytime of the day
  • I own a small shop (duh, you're here!)
  • I want to publish a book
  • I will always pick waffles over pancakes
  • I could live at Disney World
  • I could also live at Buc-ees
  • I want 34 cats
  • I love gaming
  • I love New Orleans – take me to the Quarter, buy me beignets, Café Au Lait and tell me I’m pretty

xoxo – Bri
